O'Dea is an all-boys Catholic high school founded in 1923. The responsibility of the Advisory Board is to protect the impressive legacy of the school while advocating for enhancements required to address new needs and circumstances. SilverFern Advisory offered a three-part approach that culminated in a half-day Board off-site meeting with successful selection and full alignment on key priorities.
Founded in 2013, UPower provides free fitness, health and wellness classes to underserved teens. A victim of its own early success, this non-profit found itself stretched too thin and needed to rationalize its 1- to 3-year goals. SilverFern Advisory facilitated a hands-on, interactive work session for board members to determine who UPower serves, how the organization defines success, what the interim milestones are, and the critical building blocks required.
The Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants exists to promote the professional development and integrity of members from 14 countries on four continents. SilverFern Advisory engaged each board member in foundational conversations about the evolving needs of members and implications for the organization, followed by a full-board discussion of alternatives in the context of financial and volunteer resources, leading to a new vision for serving members.
